It goes well with pathiri, any sort of rice variants ( ghee rice, pulao, normal rice) and any Indian bread. It is an easy peasy recipe for Kerala Chicken Curry

Ingredients
Serves : 5
Chicken - 700g
Onion – 2 medium (thinly sliced)
Green chilly - 6 (Slit open)
Ginger – 1 big piece (Crushed)
Garlic – 7 big cloves (Crushed)
Tomato – 1 big
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tablespoon
Coriander powder - 11/2 tablespoon
Red chilly powder - 11/2 tablespoon
Garam masala - 1/2 tablespoon
Pepper powder - 1/4 tablespoon
Curry leaves - 1 as needed
Salt - 1 as needed
Coconut Oil - 1 as needed
Directions
Heat oil in a pan. Add thinly sliced onion, green chilly, crushed garlic and ginger and curry leaves.
Once the onion starts to turn golden, reduce the flame and add turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilly powder.
When the raw smell of masala is gone, add tomato and some water and salt.
Cover and cook tomatoes till they are done, on low flame.
Add chicken and 1.5 cup water.
Increase the flame. Cook covered and bring the curry to boil.
Once it boils, add garam masala and pepper powder.
Cook covered on medium flame till the chicken is cooked.
